Portopiccolo Classic Trophy 2024

Founded in 1982 by a group of sailing enthusiasts, the Associazione Italiana Vele d'Epoca (AIVE) aims to preserve the historical, artistic and technical heritage of vintage yachts launched before 1950 and classic yachts launched up to 1975.

AIVE supports research and the preservation of nautical traditions, their history and the construction techniques of wooden or metal pleasure and racing boats.
AIVE spreads the culture of maintenance and restoration to preserve the originality of boats, restore the structural solidity and the historical and aesthetic value of vintage yachts.
Last year, a collaboration agreement was signed between AIVE and Lega Navale Italiana aimed at promoting joint cultural and dissemination initiatives related to sailing and supporting recreational sailing as a supportive and inclusive tool for youth training, promoting opportunities for young people to board vintage boats at sailing rallies and regattas and the possibility of coming into contact with shipowners.
